Overview

For the Malbec Pure Gold film, produced by Boiler Filmes and directed by Dulcidio Caldeira, New Factory was invited to create a pivotal sequence entirely in Full AI. This moment was at the heart of the narrative, carrying the delicate challenge of transforming into images the intimate feeling experienced by a woman when she breathes in the scent of Malbec Pure Gold. Our task was not just to visualize a fragrance but to translate an emotional journey into a cinematic experience.

Challenges & Approach

The greatest challenge lay in expressing something invisible and deeply subjective: the inner sensations of memory, desire and connection that the perfume evokes. Conventional imagery would not suffice. Instead, we approached the sequence as a sensorial landscape, using AI to craft visuals that transcend realism and lean into metaphor. Working closely with the director, we explored layers of texture, color and movement that could mirror the emotional intensity of the character’s experience. The process involved experimenting with AI-driven imagery to reach a poetic balance between abstraction and clarity, ensuring the sequence felt both personal and universal.

The result

The final film presents a dreamlike passage where the invisible world of scent becomes visible. The Full AI sequence unfolds as a cascade of evocative images, shimmering lights, fluid textures and surreal fragments that together embody the sensation of Malbec Pure Gold. The result is a visually striking moment that deepens the film’s narrative and enhances the audience’s emotional connection. It reflects the power of AI not as a tool for shortcuts, but as a medium to create something profoundly human. The work was widely celebrated, resonating with viewers and positioning Malbec Pure Gold as a perfume that is not only worn but also deeply felt.
