Honda WRV

Overview

In collaboration with Boiler Filmes, we developed a film that tells the story of three characters emotionally trapped in a time loop, each reliving their daily routines in a cycle of repetition. One character experiences this sensation every time the elevator doors open, feeling as if he never truly leaves. Another runs her café, where the simple act of opening and closing the doors makes every day feel the same. The third is a doctor in the chaos of a hospital, where the corridor stretches like a tunnel of time, repeating endlessly as she walks through it while the world around her changes. The narrative shifts with the arrival of the WR-V, the car that liberates them from this cycle and offers a new sense of freedom.

Challenges & Approach

Our challenge was to represent this feeling of emotional entrapment through cinematic language while also integrating a groundbreaking AI technique into the storytelling. Spritz was responsible for the first 15 seconds of the main film, executed entirely in Full AI. We built a hyper-realistic sequence by photographing datasets of the same actors featured in the live-action shoot, then training a custom AI model so that their likenesses could exist seamlessly within the AI-generated narrative. This hybrid approach ensured continuity, authenticity and emotional depth across both AI and live-action portions.

The Result

The outcome is a film with exceptional craft, blending innovative AI techniques with traditional production values. The cinematography highlights real locations and costumes that elevate the overall production value, while the AI-driven opening sequence demonstrates how new technologies can expand creative possibilities without losing human presence. The WR-V film stands as a strong example of hybrid filmmaking, where face-training technology was used to replicate real actors in a hyper-realistic way, creating a consistent and powerful narrative arc. The result was a visually compelling piece that captures attention and reinforces the transformative message of the WR-V: breaking free from repetition to embrace new horizons.
